About Red Sky Yoga

Welcoming Movement, Vitality, and Community to Every Body

Welcome to Red Sky Yoga! I’m so glad you’re here.

My Journey to Red Sky Yoga

My journey to teaching yoga wasn’t traditional. For over 35 years, I held executive level Financial and Operational positions in healthcare companies. Four years before retiring, I stepped into a graduate classroom to teach part-time MBA courses in accounting, corporate finance and entrepreneurship. That experience unlocked something unexpected: a deep, fulfilling passion for teaching and helping others learn.

Following my corporate career, I knew I wanted to combine my passion for teaching with my lifelong commitment to physical fitness and movement. I completed my training to become a certified yoga instructor and, as a 60-year-old myself, I quickly recognized an underserved community.

I noticed that conventional fitness environments often overlook the needs of adults as we age. Many of my students struggle with getting up and down off the floor or feel out of place in fast-paced studio settings. I knew there had to be a better way to offer the powerful, transformative benefits of yoga without the barriers.

That is why Red Sky Yoga was born.
